3 Ways to Drive Traffic to Your Site

Content = Activity = Traffic = Visibility → Engagement and Brand Recognition

Maybe you’re a new entrepreneur or you’ve been in the game but want to step it up a bit. Maybe you want to stay relevant or gain some new fans. Whatever the main goal it’s important to know that our website is really the main representation of our business in the online space. Making it robust and brimming with value helps define your brand as a trusted source. And we know that having that know-like-and-trust factor is how our word gets shared organically. There’s tons of other ways to get traffic to your site! But today we’re just focusing on these 3 simple ones to get a warm up and just start.

  1. PUBLISH CONTENT

To get people excited about your website, give them a reason to! Creating content is a key driver in increasing website traffic. It shows your audience/clients that you’re actively thinking of solutions for their problems. They know they can expect more helpful tips coming and will likely subscribe so they don’t miss a beat. What’s even better is you can choose the main medium you want to deliver your message in. It could be a blog, video or audio, use whichever gets you excited to do more next time!

Here’s some to get your started:
    - How does your product help them?
    - What hacks or tips should they know about to get the best results using your product or service?
    - What are people saying about your product or service?
    - What’s new in your industry? Any trends coming and going?

  2. CREATE YOUR OWN LINKS PAGE *Pro Tip
On most social media platforms these days, there’s usually a special place where you can input your own URL and people typically use this opportunity to house multiple links. You might see them as a Link.tree or Linkin.bio link. This is a great way to promote multiple things about your business all at once! But I wanna do you one better and suggest that you actually create this page on your OWN website.

    Here’s why:
    - You drive the traffic directly to your website instead of somewhere else.
    - You can use as many links as you want.
    - You can stand out from the crowd with your own branded link page that looks like no one else’s.

  3. PROMOTE
You hit publish. CONGRATS! Now it’s time to share the good word because people won’t know it’s there unless you tell them! What’s even better news is that you can take this opportunity and really give your content some mileage. You probably already know this but by sharing your post on all of your channels (bonus points if you also publish your ideas on Medium or other noteworthy sites), you’re leaving breadcrumbs of your content for people to follow back to your site. Activity = Traffic. What’s even better is that once you have the content, it doesn’t have to be a one-and-done thing! Keep sharing it in the future whenever possible. Over time you can grow your content and you can answer questions easily by sending people to your content for answers.

Don’t know where to start?
I hear you. I’d start by just writing some topics that I might want to write about. Then whatever speaks to me the most is the one I start working on. If content creation is a new thing for you, don’t worry! Take the path of least resistance and just start exploring.
